For more than thirty-five years, Longwood has reclaimed the wood of Kentucky’s past and given it a second life in the spaces of the present.
Longwood Antique Woods began with a simple conviction: the timber inside a falling barn is worth more standing in a new floor than lost to a bulldozer. Since 1991, we have salvaged wood from historic barns, warehouses, and cabins across the Bluegrass region, then restored and remilled it into flooring, cladding, beams, and furniture. Every board carries a history we did not manufacture and cannot replace.
Longwood is a Kentucky name, and so is the wood. Our crews reclaim material by hand, researching each building’s past with respect for what it was.
What we recover is de-nailed, kiln dried, and milled in our own Lexington shop. Nothing about the process is fast, and that is the point. Reclaimed wood is only as good as the care taken to bring it back.
