Every board Longwood sells was milled from timber that has already lived a full life. We recover it, restore it, and remill it, which means a Longwood floor asks nothing new of a forest. Since 1991, that has been the whole idea: history preserved and material saved.
Wood from a barn or warehouse at the end of its life has two futures: a landfill, or a new floor. We choose the floor.
Each structure is reclaimed by hand, de-nailed, kiln dried, and remilled into flooring, cladding, and beams built to last another century.
